Un aliaj nichel-fier cu elasticitate redusa, cu continut de 36% nichel. Isi mentine aproape constante dimensiunile peste domeniul temperaturilor normale si are un coefficient scazut de elasticitate si rezistenta la temperaturi criogenice de aprox. 500ºF (260ºC). Este folosit la instrumentele de masurare, componente laser, benzi bimetalice de thermostat, sarma de thermostat, rezervoare si tevi de depozitare si transport gaz lichefiat.
