Datorita continutului de crom, molibden si tungsten si cel de fier controlat, acest aliaj prezinta o foarte buna rezistenta la oxidare si mediu acid, cat si la mediile care contin mixturi acide. Este utilizat in special pentru rezistenta la petele datorate coroziunii si la crevase. Aplicatiile includ procesarile din ind.chimica, controlul poluarii, desulfurizarea gazelor fluide, incinerarea deseurilor si in ind. celulozei si hartiei.
